The following are the rules and format for the Regional tournament.  We welcome any comments or suggestions to make the competition more fun and interesting.  

 

Format:

We will play on Saturday once every month starting in May and end in August, total of 4 rounds.  All rounds will be play on Saturday only.  It would be stroke play, Team vs Team.  

1ST PLACE = 4 POINTS,

2ND PLACE = 3 POINTS,

3RD PLACE = 2 POINTS,

4TH PLACE = 1 POINTS 

Each team will use the best 5  NET SCORES and count as team score.  If your team do not have 5 players for the day, your team will be disquality for that round or 1 point.  All 4 rounds scores count as total team score for the tournament.  The first and second place team with highest total team score get treated for dinner, third and fourth place teams buy dinner.

 

Dates:

June 20, 2020 = New Jersey / Rivervale C.C.

July 18, 2020 = Long Island / Rivervale C.C.

August 29, 2020 = Queens / Rivervale C.C. (TBD)

September 19, 2020 = Bklyn/Man / Rivervale C.C.

 

Wager:

First and second place team win dinner

Third and Fourth place team each player pays $200 to buy dinner

 

Dinner budget:

$4800 (48 players) will be set aside for dinner. (determined by total number of players for the season).  If and when the money collected is short of $4800, the club will provide the difference and when it is over $4800 the club will keep the extra.  Date for the year end dinner will be determined later.

 

Course selection:

Teams with best overall team score from previous season choose first and so on.

 

Team Captain nomination

Each team needs to nominate a team captain to represent the team by April 15 of each year or before first outing of the season.  Team captain will represent the team in selecting the course, communicate with team members and take leadership role for the team.

Queens Captain = Ricky Lam

BkMan Captain = Wayne Wu

New Jersey Captain = Jing Zhong

Long Island Captain = Albert Yim
